About a year ago, Sierra Leone proposed to the United Nations a resolution declaring November 18th as a world day to recognize victims of sexual exploitation and violence.
That resolution was jointly supported by the Federal Republic of Nigeria and overwhelmingly supported by many other member states of the UN across the world.
This is therefore the first anniversary of the passing of the resolution.
