One of our fact-checkers at SLAJ iVerify witnessed the release of these convicted prisoners at the Pa Demba Road Male Correctional Facility in Freetown.

Furthermore, the Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah and the Acting Director General of the Sierra Leone Correctional Services (SLCS) Sheik Sulaiman Massaquoi confirmed to our fact-checker who was present while the prisoners were being released that the total number of prisoners pardoned was 352 nationwide.
