The SLAJ iVerify has fact-checked a viral claim making social media rounds that the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces has released its 2023/2024 recruitment application form and criteria of enrollment and found it to be false. To arrive at this conclusion, our team of fact-checkers examined the said claim through the following steps:

Firstly, SLAJ iVerity contacted Colonel Issa Bangura, the Director of Public Relations and Information at the Ministry of Defense who told us that the notice was fake.

He further said that the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) is yet to release any recruitment form for its 2023/2024 intake.

Colonel Bangura also sent SLAJ iVerify a copy of a notice they had flagged as fake on their Ministry of Defence website.
