To verify this claim, SLAJ iVerify reached out to Christopher Jones, the Assistant Director of Media and Communications at the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone (ECSL). Jones confirmed that the ECSL is the sole authorized entity responsible for releasing election results. He mentioned that selected major broadcast media outlets, such as SLBC, AYV, Epic Radio, and others, have been designated to announce the official results. According to Jones, the tallying process is currently underway in five districts.
